Gretchen is also an active member of her school community as she was a member of the University of Toronto Acappella group - Tunes.Beats.Awesome as a mezzo-soprano vocalist, and the cast of the school’s musical theatre production - Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She is now a cellist at the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Kindred Spirits Orchestra, CAST Philomusica Orchestra, a licensed Toronto Transit Commision performer, a song-writer, a singer and keyboardist on the Markham Chinese Baptist church worship team, as well as a music teacher at Tone Labs Music Academy and Soundbox Studios.

She is currently exploring different musical genres, and it is her dream to share her passion and love for the performing arts with her young students and the community.
