Obtained both Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and Master of Music Performance degree at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, United Kingdom, his main mentors were violinists Etsuko Kimura (Assistant concertmaster of Toronto Symphony Orchestra), Lucy Gould (Principal 2nd violinist of Chamber Orchestra of Europe & the Gould piano trio), and Itzhak Rashkovsky (violin pedagogue of Royal College of Music, London).
During his studies, Amos has had the privilege to work and collaborate with many internationally renowned violinists both in Canada and the UK. He also had the privilege to perform and receive chamber coaching from many visiting members of prominent string quartets and piano trios such as the St. Lawrence String Quartet, Juilliard String Quartet, New Orford String Quartet, the Albion Quartet, the Gryphon Trio, the Gould Piano Trio, as well as received intensive orchestral training from members of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera company, the BBC NOW, Welsh National Opera, and London Philharmonic Orchestra. Some of his major chamber highlights were in collaboration with Nicola Benedetti, Leonard Elschenbroich, Pieter Wispelwey, and respective concertmasters of the BBC NOW and WNO.
As an avid chamber musician, Amos has tremendous experiences in chamber outreach programs and is passionate in sharing musicianship to local communities, while collaborating with professional musicians and joint force with local community orchestras. Based in Toronto, Amos is an In-House Violinist at the church of St. Peter and St. Simon the Apostle where he performs solo recitals regularly. He enjoys mentoring students at all levels in violin skill development while patiently incorporating the discipline of practicing, techniques, and appreciation for Classical music.
